To Live For The Better
(for the hope of it all)
"To change the world, start by changing yourself." This quote would ring a bell to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players. It's actually good. I remember hearing this first when my younger sister once played the game and chose the hero Eudora. It's actually good that the creators of the game include such words. It just symbolizes something. It shows the yearning of positive change for the world. But how do we even change it? Where do we start?
It's simple. The starting point is always within us. Well, it has been my desire to change it. I was a child back then when I first dreamed of manipulating how the world works or revolve. But then as a grew older, I realize this desire is a no joke.
This desire often stems from a deep-seated empathy for those who suffer, a passion for justice, or a vision of a better future. Having a vision for a better future is essential. It's the belief that even the smallest actions can ripple out and create meaningful transformation. Whether it's advocating for social justice, working towards environmental sustainability, or fostering innovation, the desire to change the world is a powerful driving force.
However, changing the world requires dedication, resilience, and willingness to change oneself. And if we keep in mind that a change starts with us, then we're all good. Keeping it in mind just shows that we allow ourselves to grow and have self-discovery. It shows that we are willing to reflect on our habits, beliefs, and behaviors. This also includes taking the risk to step out of our comfort zones, and standing up for what we believe in, even when it's difficult.
I also think that once we allow ourselves to understand others, we're taking a step towards a change. It requires collaboration, empathy, and a recognition of our shared humanity. Also, maintaining our hope for a change is a step.
But then again, it should start with us. It should start with me. If I want to change the world, then I must start it by understanding that not everytime, I am right. What matters is that everyday, I choose to do good. Acknowledging my flaws and shortcomings with dedication and compassion, and taking a self-action to fix them is also a powerful step.
Also, I should let myself to be teachable. I should continue to embrace the process of continual learning, self-improvement, and resilience. If I want to change the world, I should not lose hope. I should not lose the strong force of deep desire to do it. I should keep in mind that changing is like a personal fulfillment and growth.
If we all do those things, then I think we can change the world for the better faster. Changing ourselves for the better is not just about becoming the best version of ourselves, but also about positively impacting the lives of those around us and contributing to a more compassionate and harmonious world.
Let's just keep the hope alive.
hope for a world where everyone has access to opportunity and equality;
hope for a planet where the environment is protected and cherished; and
hope for a future where innovation and creativity flourish, solving the most pressing problems facing humanity.
Changing the world isn't just a lofty dream; it's a tangible goal that each of us can contribute to in our own way, no matter how big or small. What about you? How do you change the world? How do you want to do it?
